Escat Gallery emerged from a vision rooted in artistic intimacy and curatorial experimentation. The project began in 2022 under the name Casa Estudio Granados, a hybrid space in Barcelona where exhibitions, studio visits, and dialogues with artists laid the foundation for a unique curatorial identity.
In 2024, the project evolved into Escat Gallery, establishing its main space on Trafalgar Street, in the heart of Barcelona. Under the direction of Pau Escat, the gallery stands as a testament to the transformative power of art in contemporary society.
The Trafalgar gallery functions as the core of the project, hosting exhibitions that highlight rigorous curatorial research and bold artistic voices. It serves as the primary platform for engaging with contemporary art through a dynamic and international lens.
Escat Gallery has since expanded with a second space in Sarrià and a private studio in Mahón, Menorca.
The Sarrià gallery, located in one of Barcelona’s most historic and tranquil neighborhoods, offers a slower, more intimate encounter with contemporary art. Conceived as a satellite space and project room, it provides an alternative curatorial context focused on emerging practices, thoughtful dialogue, and artistic depth.
The Private Studio in Menorca is a cornerstone of this approach, offering artists a place for concentrated work, reflection, and public engagement. This unique setting fosters meaningful exchanges between creators and audiences, enriching the gallery's commitment to artistic process and cultural dialogue.
