Escat Gallery emerged from a vision rooted in artistic intimacy and curatorial experimentation. The project began in 2022 under the name Casa Estudio Granados, a hybrid space in Barcelona where exhibitions, studio visits, and dialogues with artists laid the foundation for a distinct curatorial identity.
In 2024, the project evolved into Escat Gallery, establishing its main space on Trafalgar Street, in the heart of Barcelona. Under the direction of Pau Escat, the gallery stands as a testament to the transformative power of art in contemporary society.
The Trafalgar gallery functions as the core of the project, presenting exhibitions that combine rigorous curatorial research with bold artistic voices. Each show goes beyond display — it seeks to provoke reflection, foster dialogue, and offer a truly transformative experience.
Escat Gallery has since expanded with a second space in Sarrià, a private apartment in Barcelona, and a studio in Mahón, Menorca.
The Sarrià gallery, located in one of Barcelona’s most historic and tranquil neighborhoods, offers a slower, more intimate encounter with contemporary art. Conceived as a satellite space and project room, it provides an alternative curatorial context focused on emerging practices and thoughtful dialogue.
The Escat Apartment is a private space reserved for collectors and design professionals, where selected works from the gallery’s catalogue can be viewed in a calm and personalized setting.
Finally, the Lab Studio in Mahón, Menorca, serves as a dedicated workspace for artists represented by the gallery — a place for creation, experimentation, and the development of new projects that extend the gallery’s commitment to artistic process and innovation.
